My story may shock you; and at the same time, it may inspire you.
I have survived multiple devastating losses. I have moved thousands of miles away from everything I knew and loved. I have had to form new friendships and have pressed reset on my career multiple times. I have even experienced the loss of a six-figure income, my home and my marriage.
I have tried and failed and tried again. Through it all, I have never given up. I have recreated my life many times over, and now I help women do the same!
I look around me and revel in the life I have recreated for myself, because I chose to lean in and show up. Now I have beautiful, thriving relationships, a career that fulfills me and so much more. Throughout my life and travels, I continue to meet interesting and dynamic people from all over the world.
Ladies, I have stories that will make you want to pull up a chair and stay a while. All of my experiences - the good, bad and the ugly - are now the guide stones that allow me to help others along their journey. They are my treasures. Come journey with me as we explore your hidden treasures.
I was born and raised in rural Kansas which may at times evoke memories of Depression Era stories if it had not begun in 1950. I was and remain very committed to my family while holding tight to a vision for the life I want. There were many challenges growing up in a sparsely populated farming community where work was not readily available and to ask for help would be unthinkable.
Hopefully, my story will give you inspiration, courage and commitment to successfully create a much different life, far from your roots, if that is your desire. I began my transformation at the age of 2; weaving sticks in my hair for a more polished look and am still today uncovering the possibilities of what can be accomplished with patience, perseverance and an open mind to change and self-improvement.
My story will take you through the challenges and opportunities wrought by the national and global aftermath of the Vietnam War, the Oil Embargo, The Savings & Loan Debacle, Black Friday, the financial meltdown of 2009. All of which prepared me to weather the pandemic and rising inflation we face today.
I witnessed all these events, survived and found my inner strength growing in tandem with the need to reinvent myself time and time again. I am a woman of strength and tenacity who is always willing to rock my world as I push forward through family tragedy, financial loss and many setbacks that cannot be contained within one short chapter.
I did not give myself the opportunity to dwell on my losses and neither should my readers – grieve, yes, but I kept moving forward, focused on the future. I invite you to revel in my triumphs, appreciate my tenacity and personal growth and use those feelings to inspire your personal growth.
I want you to feel those same soulful longings that will drive you to become all that you can be; to stand up after you have been knocked down; to find peace in unpleasant circumstances and to reach deep within yourself to become your highest self.

Professional Coaching is a professional partnership between a qualified coach and an individual or team that supports the achievement of extraordinary results, based on goals set by the individual or team.
Through the process of coaching, individuals focus on the skills and actions needed to successfully produce their personally relevant results.
The individual or team chooses the focus of conversation, while the coach listens and contributes observations and questions as well as concepts and principles which can assist in generating possibilities and identifying actions. Through the coaching process the clarity that is needed to support the most effective actions is achieved. Coaching accelerates the individual's or team’s progress by providing greater focus and awareness of possibilities leading to more effective choices. Coaching concentrates on where individuals are now and what they are willing to do to get where they want to be in the future. ICF member coaches recognize that results are a matter of the individual's or team’s intentions, choices and actions, supported by the coach's efforts and application of coaching skills, approaches and methods.
Individuals who engage in a coaching relationship can expect to experience fresh perspectives on personal challenges and opportunities, enhanced thinking and decision making skills, enhanced interpersonal effectiveness, and increased confidence in carrying out their chosen work and life roles. Consistent with a commitment to enhancing their personal effectiveness, they can also expect to see appreciable results in the areas of productivity, personal satisfaction with life and work, and the achievement of personally relevant goals.
To determine if you could benefit from coaching, start by summarizing what you would expect to accomplish in coaching. When someone has a fairly clear idea of the desired outcome, a coaching partnership can be a useful tool for developing a strategy for how to achieve that outcome with greater ease.
Since coaching is a partnership, also ask yourself if you find it valuable to collaborate, to have another viewpoint and to be asked to consider new perspectives. Also, ask yourself if you are ready to devote the time and the energy to making real changes in your work or life. If the answer to these questions is yes, then coaching may be a beneficial way for you to grow and develop.
